Happy Valentine’s Day! I love this day of LOVE! This year is extra special because it’s Layla’s first Valentine’s Day! I am a traditionalist when it comes to this holiday. I dig the whole vision of the day, with extra extra extra hugs, kisses, sweets, flowers, sparkle! It’s pure bliss to celebrate this day with my family, who I am truly, madly, deeply in love with!

Happy Thanksgiving! Aside from birthdays, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. This year’s celebration is super special because Layla Meadow has joined our family! It is pure bliss to share the Thanksgiving vibes with my DAUGHTER: our incredible traditional recipes, all the men watching sports (Ash included this year), family laughter through the house, dogs lounging wherever food’s being prepared, gingery pumpkin spice aromas…it’s all magic. The gratitude is crystal clear, too.
To mark this holiday, the brilliant Kelly Stuart photographed my family. We had our first photoshoot with Kelly the week of Asher’s first Thanksgiving 2 years ago. The pictures are some of my absolute favorite! I wanted the same experience with Layla! Here’s a peek and I hope you have a dreamy holiday!

My favorite pieces are my diamond encrusted name rings. As you know, I am a ring girl. As a child, I loved stacking my mama’s rings from when she was little. I remember a gem encrusted ring, in particular, that we called the “princess ring.” My passion for rings continued as I grew up and certainly shows itself in the vast ring selection on my website. When I was pregnant with my son, I knew I needed something really spectacular to wear daily on my finger in his honor. I decided to carve his name. I wanted the letters to be classic looking with a slightly bohemian bubble letter look, reminiscent of my favorite rock and roll album covers from the Sixties. Since I planned to wear it daily, I decided strong platinum and white diamonds were the way to go. My brother picked up my finished ring from the jewelry district when I was in the hospital having Asher. He brought it to me and I put it on my finger holding my newborn baby boy. These rings had a beautiful birth and are very meaningful to me. When I was expecting Layla, I carved her name in the same precious style. Between my two babies, I also carved my mama a Meme ring, since that’s what my son calls her.

I absolutely adore customizable jewelry. There are many jewels on my website with a personalization option. Whether you select a favorite color or a loved one’s birthstone, this is a really beautiful way to make your jewelry meaningful and unique. I enjoy this process. It feels good knowing that the jewelry is infused with honor and love, plus it’s fun seeing how the various gemstone combinations turn out!

I love making jewelry. I consider many pieces I’ve made over the years a “favorite.” The feeling I get when I make something I ESPECIALLY love is hard to describe. It’s a mix of adoration, exhilaration, and pride! Well, when I finished this latest collection of hand carved letter studs and placed an “A” and an “L” in my left ear, I knew I had a new favorite!
