I just celebrated my birthday August 28, and Fall is now comin’ fast and furiously! Summer was amazing, and one of my favorite parts of the season are the spectacular sunsets. I find peace watching the sun lower and the colors blaze in incredible pinks, purples, and oranges. I love summer since it’s easy to sit outside and enjoy the incredible show put on by Mother Nature!
My latest necklace is inspired by sunsets and incorporates opal stones. I love the colors in an opal: creamy white and blue with sunset-like flashes of pink and orange. It is amazing how the stone changes color when light hits it in different directions. The shades always remind me of those in a beautiful sunset.
This 18-karat yellow gold necklace is special because an opal is set into one side of each little gold disk, and there are peace signs carved into the back sides of each disk! The 20-inch gold chain also features ancient African and Roman beads, as well as 18-karat gold beads. I hope you enjoy the new piece- I can almost feel the warmth of the sun on my chest when I wear it!
