Harvard Professor Dr. Timothy Leary experimented with “brain-changing” LSD and hallucinogens in the 1960s. Though his methods of research were sometimes questionable, Leary moved people to open their minds to possibilities, live in the moment, and basically just CHILL OUT!!!
His mantra, “tune in, turn on, drop out,” inspired my latest necklace. While I do not advocate drug use, I have always felt connected to Leary’s interest in encouraging people to dive into themselves in order to better how we think and behave. As he said, “Learning how to operate a soul figures to take time.”
My new necklace is 32 inches in length and the back of each word plaque sparkles and shimmers with a variety of precious and semiprecious facetted stones. It is a unique layering piece and definitely a great conversation-starter!
