So Many Symbols

Hi!

Carving is a special part of my jewelry making process. For me, the artistic process is quiet and calm yet at the same time exhilarating and exciting. I love crafting a little sculpture out of wax knowing it is destined to become a precious piece of jewelry. My two new rings are incredibly special because they combine several meaningful, tiny symbol carvings. I’m so happy to share the Symbol Band and the Jewish Symbol Band. These rings are actually an updated version of a ring I made when I launched my collection in 2008. I called it the Love and Symbol Band and it incorporated many of my favorite symbols from the 1960s.

My new Symbol Band incorporates many beloved symbols: a flower, heart, hamsa, rainbow, butterfly, mushroom, moon, eye, leaf, ying yang and peace sign. The flower is set with one citrine, the heart is set with fourteen rubies, the hamsa is set with one blue sapphire, the butterfly is set with six brown diamonds, the mushroom is set with two peridots, the moon is set with five white diamonds, the eye is set with one alexandrite, the leaf is set with four tsavorites, and the ying yang is set with one black diamond and one white diamond.

I took my love of symbols one step further with the Jewish Symbol Band. This ring incorporates many beloved symbols relating to spirituality and tradition: a heart, six-pointed star, hamsa, chai, menorah, tablets, wheat, torah, pomegranate, and peace sign. The heart is set with a pink sapphire, the star is set with an aquamarine center and six white diamond points, the hamsa is set with one blue sapphire, the chai is set with ten white diamonds, the menorah is set with seven white diamonds, the tablets are set with twenty gray diamonds, the wheat is set with five tsavorites, the torah is set with one turquoise cabochon, and the pomegranate is set with three rubies.

I hope you treasure these as much as I do. There is so much to be gained from admiring these symbols, serving as important reminders on your finger!

Peace and love,

Elisa
