The shark tooth necklace has been in my collection for about 15 years. I love its beachy vibe because I put it on and imagine I’m a surfer or chillin’ out on an island! When I made the pendant, I looked at a real shark tooth that I’d purchased on vacation and made a similar carving out of wax, adding realistic textures with my carving tools. I’ve always been attracted to how real it looks, even though it was carved by my hands (not from the mouth of a hammerhead)!
My son, Asher, became very interested in sharks this year so I reinvented this piece for him. I’m stoked to share the Custom Engraved Shark Tooth Necklace!
The front of the tooth is set with a single stone choice of rosecut white diamond, cabochon turquoise, opal, ruby, blue sapphire, emerald, paraiba tourmaline, or moonstone (Ash’s June birthstone and the gem pictured above). The back is hand engraved with a name, word, or date. I chose a slightly thicker chain for this necklace because my son is active and I like how the thickness pairs with the rustic tooth design. This special piece is available in 14 karat yellow, pink, or white gold.
