Hi!
I exhibited at my first trade show this past week at JA New York! I’ve heard about different shows over the years since I started my business, but I didn’t feel a pull to participate in one until I met Liz Kantner. Liz and I met for the first time over lunch at my favorite spot, The Grey Dog, and I immediately felt a connection to her. She is kind, warm, intelligent, honest, and helpful. I left the lunch knowing we would work together in some way in the future. When she emailed me a couple weeks later saying she was curating a group of designers for the summer JA New York show and asked me if I’d be interested, I knew the answer was yes! Liz was wonderful as she guided me through the preparation process and I’m very grateful to call her a beautiful friend.
The show took place for three days and it was a blast! My husband, Austin, and my mom, Jayne, ran the booth with me. It was so fun setting up the jewelry every morning! I met some of the buyers, editors, and bloggers that up until the show, I had kept in touch with via email and social media! It was exciting showing them my collection and seeing their favorites! My business continues to expose me to new things and I’m looking forward to my next exciting adventure!
