Marc Chagall, “I and The Village”
Salvador Dali, “The Persistence of Memory”
Pablo Picasso, “Three Musicians”
Vinvent Van Gogh, “Starry Night”
I visited the Museum of Modern Art in New York City recently and was in absolute awe. My eyes GLOWED as I peered at masterpieces such as Vincent Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” and Marc Chagall’s “I and The Village,” which happens to be my favorite painting. I viewed works by Matisse, Picasso, Dali, and Miro…. It was a wonderful, wonderful afternoon and it is such an invaluable gift to be able to view these incredible works in person.
I began work on a new collection a few weeks ago and it happens to be fairly different from my usual jewelry designs. I wanted to make a more rustic, masculine collection and really looked to the men in my life for inspiration. I am lucky to have a few incredible muses, as I’d assume past artists did, too! The new collection is so beautiful, I actually have been wearing the pieces myself! Despite it’s initial incarnation as a new “men’s line,” I know the jewelry is absolutely wearable for either sex.
I will be posting pictures soon, and in the meantime, I hope you’re being inspired and enjoying the holiday season!!!
Peace, Elisa
