September brings Jewish holidays and I always enjoy hearing the words of the Rabbi. The Rabbi dedicates himself to others by teaching, advising, and enriching the community, and I like hearing his stories.
Today, the rabbi said “to be happy is to be someone who LOVES and LIFTS UP others around him.” These words made perfect sense to me. In my family, I was taught about integrity through kindness, charity, hard work, dedication to family, giving more than you take, and showing compassion. I feel very lucky that I was taught these truly important values, as they make my life feel more and more full every day, much more so than useless material desires.
My collection is said to use beautiful symbols to express what is important in every day life. I certainly know where the HEART comes from…my parents, my brother, and my wonderful husband. I wish everyone a Happy New Year.
