I’ve spent a lot of time catching up with various girlfriends this week, and I want to start out by saying that I LOVE THEM DEARLY. That being said, I sometimes have a hard time commenting on their dating/relationship/marriage woes/concerns/fears. The stories about commitment-phobic, verbally abusive, cheating, work-obsessed, immature men tend to initially leave me speechless.
My advice has ranged from “He should absolutely adore you. Period.” (the girlfriend with the degrading boyfriend) to “If you see him on internet dating sites, he is likely looking into other possible ladies.” (my friend who’s contemplating if the man she dates wants to be exclusive) All in all, the way I roll is with the belief that you should feel happy, confident, comfortable, and relaxed. As Dylan noted, no one can make up the rules for you and no advice should completely dictate your actions…ya just gotta do what feels right for you and your life!
I will say, I have had several inquiries about the 18 karat gold and diamond ring pictured above as an engagement ring. I am confident and I proooomise there are great people out there!!!
