Fresh New Year :)

“I’m not claiming divinity. I’ve never claimed purity of soul. I’ve never claimed to have the answers to life. I only… answer questions as honestly as I can. But I still believe in peace, love, and understanding.”
-John Lennon

Hello,

It’s 2011! What does the New Year mean to me? First, the opportunity for a clean slate. There are always things we can better in our lives. January is the perfect time to try a new approach and move forward in that fresh way. While taking this new approach, it is important to be relaxed. We all strive for perfection in such an intense way…isn’t it still pretty good to make slight improvements? Try for a few more smiles, a little less voice-raising, a tinge more patience: striving for complete perfection only sets us up for failure. I’d rather be optimistic that little by little, I am trying, and my goodness is growing bit by bit throughout the new year.

John Lennon was optimistic and realistic in his approach to life. He believed in good things (love, peace, understanding) and was honest. I think that is a pretty great way to approach a new year, and will keep his quote in mind as I navigate my life this year.

My new 18 karat gold and rose-cut diamond band rings make me so happy to wear. Looking at them, I see beauty in the composition, strength in the diamonds, and substance in the weight of the gold. I think it is symbolic and wonderful to have a special new goody to enter the New Year and these are mine!!!!

Peace,
Elisa
