In 1965, Allen Ginsberg suggested that peace marchers use “masses of flowers” as a symbol of protest. Ginsberg also invented the term “flower power” around this time. I think his idea was brilliant. Wearing my daisy and flower child rings around the city is my way of following his vision (not to mention they last a bit longer than the natural blooms)!
