Trying To Be Thorn-Free

“I listen to our favorite song
Playing on the radio…
Hear the DJ say love’s a game of easy come and…easy go.
But I wonder…does he know?
Has he ever felt like this?
And I know that you’d be here right now
If I could have…let you know somehow.”

I am very inspired by hearts. I am a peace and love-lovin’ chick. Perhaps I am inspired because it’s Springtime and everyone seems to be chasin’ after someone. 😉 Perhaps it’s because I’ve sold a few rings for engagement and anniversary occasions. Perhaps it’s because the symbol is whimsical and sweet and happy.

I believe that our hearts are pure, but sometimes, it can be hard to translate the heart’s intentions in actions. I think the Poison lyrics above illustrate my thoughts quite well. It isn’t so easy to be “perfect” in expressing how we feel. It isn’t so easy to be be thorn-free in love.

My latest 18 karat yellow gold ring incorporates three heart-shape stones: a tourmaline, a garnet, and an opal. The band is set with aquamarines and sapphires. When I look down at the three hearts, it reminds me to have my heart in the right place…I hope you are doing the same during this lovely season.

Peace, Elisa
