Hello!

I just returned from Paris yesterday and it was an amazing trip that I will remember my whole life. My mom and I saw so many important sights, including the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle, Musee D’Orsay, Opera Garnier, L’Orangerie, Centre Pompidou, Rodin Museum, Delacroix Museum, Place du Concorde, Napoleon’s Tomb, Victor Hugo’s house, Sacre Couer, and much more. It was truly magical to have special mother daughter time in such a historic, arty, beautiful place!

We loved the Opera Garnier. The immense ceiling was painted by Marc Chagall and is GORGEOUS!!!! The colors he used reminded me of my jewelry! He infused all colors of the rainbow in his mystical, whimsical designs. I LOVED IT!

I felt very inspired in Paris. We will see in the months to come how the trip reflects itself in my work!

I read magazines on the flight home and especially enjoyed a More magazine article about Yoko Ono’s thoughts on John Lennon’s 70th birthday. When asked about her favorite Lennon song, she replied she loved them all and that they were his diary. She said “Every day in his life was so charged and interesting.” What a wonderful thing. Everything I learned and viewed in Paris made life even more special here. It made me feel incredibly excited about creating and learning about the masters and their personal lives made me appreciate my life and the people in it in New York. I’d like to try to emmulate Lennon and live my life as charged and interesting as possible. 🙂

Peace, Elisa
