The inspiration for my new collection came from simple, pure, and precious moments with my family. In a world that can be hectic, unkind, and hard, as an artist, I am always seeking out moments of beauty. I became fascinated with the idea of “glimmers,” which are micro moments of wonderment. It’s the little things you notice that make you feel calm, peaceful, and connected. It’s moments of awe, like seeing a shooting star or watching lightning strike. It’s simple pleasures, like a drippy ice cream cone or biting into a crunchy apple. It’s personal enjoyment, like riding a horse or searching for butterflies. It’s spending time in nature, like noticing a beautiful flower. It’s sensory experiences, like petting a fluffy sheep or feeling cool raindrops on your skin. It’s a sense of belonging, like donning the birthstones of friends or family members, signifying a loving bond. It’s acts of kindness, like finding balance and harmony through cultivating compassion and understanding.
