Ahhhh, weekend in New York. I always find it interesting being out and about in the city during the Fall. Summer can be quiet, but come September, the streets are bustling again.
I lived in the Midwest for ten years, and there is a sort of assumption that Midwesterners are smiley, relaxed, and friendly. There’s also a stereotype that New Yorkers are a bit more intense, serious, and brief. My hope is that each weekend, I see lots of happy smiles and less gloomy frowns. It sure makes the day nicer to be surrounded by kindness and warmth.
