Time plays such a powerful role in our lives. A special date is the inspiration for my newest ring, the Date Band. There are certain days in our lives that are truly the highlights. The days that make us feel complete joy, elation, euphoria…just the happiest of the happy feelings! It could be a day doing something you enjoy, a vacation, a wedding, a birthday, a milestone.
Many of my jewels are customizable and for my newest ring, I wanted to include a spot for a special date. The date band is unique because there are two places on the ring for personalized engraving: one is for a date and the second is for a name or word. For my own personal Date Band, I selected my son’s birthday and his name. (I’m also currently making one up with my daughter’s birthday and name.)

The other fun part of this classic band is the stones are customizable. Choose from a list of the 12 birthstones corresponding with each month of the year. Those are: January: Garnet, February: Amethyst, March: Aquamarine, April: White Diamond, May: Emerald, June: Alexandrite, July: Ruby, August: Peridot, September: Blue Sapphire, October: Pink Tourmaline, November: Citrine, December: Tanzanite.
I’m so excited to share this piece with you because it’s a treasure meant to be worn on all the most special of days. On a side note, I’m a class mom for my son’s 1st grade class and we had our end of year field trip this past week. It was a beautiful trip and we visited a spot my son and I have enjoyed since he was a baby. It’s truly amazing to witness the passage of time and it’s important to try to enjoy life in all its chapters.
